INTERESTING FACTS

About Learning

  1. Brain Development: Nearly 90% of the brain is fully formed by age 5, highlighting the importance of early childhood education.

  2. Active Learning: According to a study from Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, students who actively engage with the material (such as through discussions or problem-solving) are less likely to fail and understand the content better than those in traditional lecture courses.

  3. Positive Reinforcement: According to studies, positive reinforcement in the classroom (e.g., praise and rewards) is more effective in improving student behavior and academic performance than negative reinforcement or punishment.

  4. Finnish Education: Finland, often cited for its successful educational system, does not start formal schooling until age 7 and emphasizes short school days, long breaks, and less homework, yet their students continually perform well on global assessments.

TESTIMONIALS

Paper Texture
"Excellent leadership training for the board of education is critical in any Community. This is vital to building a stronger and healthier school District. Dr. Rice has provided that training needed to move our District from a struggling state to a very proud state in our District. I have valued the opportunity to work and collaborate with Dr. Rice. He is a dynamic leader and mentor. He has shown great leadership, persuasiveness, empathy, professionalism, and dedication. Our district has excelled academically and financially because of the strategic planning of Dr. Rice. (Dr. Rice has also assisted us in grant writing as we have received several grant funds because of his grant writing abilities and leadership.) He is genuinely concerned, not only with students, teachers, principals, parents, and the board of education, but people in general."
